Subhadra Coal Mining Limited (SCML) is a green field project located in Angul District of Odisha. SCML is a Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) to Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited (MCL). The contract provides for removing 524 million tons of Coal in 25 years at stripping ratio of 1.12 with the target production being 25 million tons per year. The project is in process to acquire statutory clearances. Subsequently, SCML has to construct and operate Coal Handling Plant, Railway Siding and the Mine. It is planned to start coal production in FY 26.
