Amelia Coal Mines Ltd (ACML) is located in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. Under the project EMIL provides its mining services to THDC, a Mini Ratna Public Sector Undertaking. In November 2022, ACML began the overburden (OB) removal process using state-of-the-art equipment, including a combination of shovels and dumpers. Coal production commenced on February 2023 using a surface miner. The mine has a peak coal production capacity of 5.6 million tonnes per annum.
