Bhubaneswari Coal Mines Ltd (BCML) is located in Angul district of Odisha and started its operations in November 2011. It is an MDO project for the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited. In its first year of operation in FY 2012-13 BCML produced 11 million tons of coal and taking the coal production to 28 million tons in 2020-21. BCML was recognised for the fastest ramp up of coal production in Indian coal mining history. BCML has grown its coal production and achieved the peak rated capacity a year ahead of schedule. BCML’s operations have streamlined operations management, enhanced efficiency, optimised resources, and prioritised environment, health & safety (EHS).
