The Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) of 2500 people affected by the project was undertaken successfully as part of EMIL’s local CSR agenda. 4 specific initiatives were carried out:

• 3 classrooms and 3 washrooms were constructed at a local school, Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir.
• . A 750 meter PCC approach road was constructed connecting the main road to the Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir.
• 2 Bore wells installed at Basdiha village to provide local inhabitants with safe drinking water.
• Jogi Pond at Basidha village was rejuvenated for irrigation and cattle feeding.
