Noble Ferro Alloys
Essel Mining’s Noble Ferro Alloys (NFA) division, located in Vapi city of Valsad district, Gujarat, is a producer of world class NFA that was commissioned in 1980. NFA Vapi is the largest producer of high quality Noble Ferro Alloys in the country, with a manufacturing capacity of 10,500 Metric Tons Per Annum (MTPA).
With a customer-focussed approach aligned to a strong distribution network, NFA is delivering high quality alloys to its consumers. Noble Ferro Alloys are used in the manufacturing of alloy steels, high-speed steels and other special grade steels to impart strength and anti-corrosive properties. The Noble Ferro Alloys Division produces Ferro Molybdenum, Ferro Vanadium, Ferro Titanium in lumps form and unfused Vanadium Pentoxide (V2O5) powder. Ferro Molybdenum and Ferro Vanadium Powders are used to manufacture welding electrodes.
The unit’s management systems are certified for international management standards including ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment Management System), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)
Alumino Thermic process is used for the manufacture of ferro alloys such as ferro molybdenum, ferro vanadium, ferro titanium and vanadium pentoxide (V2O5). A major advantage of this process is that it does not require external energy input for carrying out the reaction and heat is generated by process itself using exothermic reaction. In the Alumino Thermic Process, aluminium and silicon are used as reducing agents to convert oxide ores of respective elements to its ferro alloy form.
Delivery Network from Delivery Mechanism and Channels
The Noble Ferro Alloys Unit boasts of a wide delivery network in the country with four regional offices and three depots. The unit follows stringent quality check norms and is one of the preferred suppliers to large steel producers in the country. The unit’s delivery channels are depicted in the map below:
