Essel Mining & Industries Limited (EMIL) currently has a total commissioned solar power of 80.80 MW spread across three states of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Telangana. 

With the abundance of sunlight and largely conducive climactic conditions, India has been able to effectively harness and scale solar power to create energy security and provide widespread and rapid distribution for the purposes of electrification and other needs.

Over the past few years, there has been tangible growth and impact of solar energy in the Indian context. Solar energy capacity has increased more than 15 times in the last seven years, from 2.6 GW to 40 GW in March 2021.
