Rajmahal Coal Mining Limited (RCML): Delivering Results

Rajmahal Coal Mining Limited (RCML), is a Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) project of EMIL for Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL). This project provides a steady coal supply to the Kahalgaon and Farakka power plant of NTPC Limited. Operational since 2013, RCML is committed to responsible mining practices that prioritize sustainability, community development, and operational excellence.

Community Engagement

• Healthcare: Organizing eye camps to provide critical medical services to local residents.
• Education: Establishing digital libraries at Ramakrishna Mission and Godda College, equipping students with vital technological resources.
• Infrastructure Development: Installing borewells with overhead tanks in villages to ensure access to clean drinking water.
• Sustainable Livelihoods: Supporting solar street light installation projects in villages, promoting a cleaner and brighter environment.

Awards and Recognition

• Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) Recognition: RCML Awarded for achieving a remarkable 165% growth in coal production, the highest in the mine's history. This achievement led to a contract extension until 2029.
• National Quality Awards: RCML's Sankalp team received an "Excellent" award at the National Convention on Quality Concepts for their kaizen case study.
• Gold Award at CCQC Durgapur Chapter Convention: Team Sankalp's exceptional performance secured a Gold Award, showcasing their commitment to continuous improvement.
